SEASON ANNOUNCEMENT
Southeastern Festival of Song, Inc.
Established as a registered non-profit organization in the State of Georgia in 2003 by Ryan Taylor and Adriana Zabala, the Southeastern Festival of Song provides an opportunity for audiences throughout the United States to experience exciting thematic programming and world-class song collaborators. In its three year history, the festival has enjoyed both public and critical acclaim, and has expanded beyond the concerts which feature their signature programming style.
SEFoS has collaborated with the Atlanta Ballet, Dallas Museum of Art, Bar Harbor Music Festival, Michael O’Neal Singers, and the Trinity Artist Series (New Orleans) to present recitals, concerts, oratorios, ballet and opera. Its roster of artists has worked closely with the faculty and students of Southern Methodist University, University of Texas-Dallas, Georgia State University, Fletcher Opera Institute at the North Carolina School of the Arts, University of Minnesota-Duluth, and Wright State University.
SEFoS is honored by its selection as an Emory Coca-Cola Ensemble-in-Residence, as this exciting collaboration allows us to enhance the SEFoS experience for our artists and audience alike: the elegant, acoustically-superior venue of Emerson Concert Hall in the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts, the use of world-class rehearsal facilities, and the ability to offer Emory students two comprehensive workshops to encourage their musical talents and provide unprecedented contact with our roster of internationally-acclaimed artists during their residency in Atlanta. SEFoS is delighted to evolve in its mission in close partnership with the rapidly-expanding music department at Emory University.
